Terms of Service

By creating an account or otherwise using FamOS («Service»), you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

1. The Service

FamOS is an iOS application that helps families track their budget, set life goals as three tiers, manage recurring payments, and analyze spending. The Service is operated by Maksim Koshakov as an independent developer.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction) and have legal capacity to enter into binding agreements. By using the Service you confirm you meet these criteria.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials confidential and for all activity in your account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. Free and Premium tiers

Free: single budget, transactions, tiers, recurring payments, calendar, basic analytics, loan calculator, family invitations.

Premium ($4.99/month or $39.99/year, 7-day free trial): multiple budgets, custom categories, AI categorization, receipt OCR scanner, weekly AI digest.

Subscriptions are auto-renewing. Apple charges your Apple ID account at confirmation. Renewal occurs within 24 hours before the period ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before. Manage or cancel anytime in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.

Unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

All payments are processed by Apple. Refund requests go through Apple Support: reportaproblem.apple.com. We don't process refunds directly.

You retain all rights to data you put into FamOS (transactions, receipt photos, custom categories, etc.). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store and process this data solely to operate the Service for you and your invited family members.

8. AI-generated content

AI categorization and weekly digests are produced by Anthropic's Claude models. We do our best to make them useful, but they may occasionally be wrong, miss context, or generate unexpected text. Treat them as helpful suggestions, not financial advice.

9. Not financial advice

FamOS is a tracking and visualization tool. It is not a licensed financial advisor, accountant, or tax professional. Loan calculator results are estimates based on simple amortization math. Consult a qualified professional for significant financial decisions.

10. Service availability

We aim for high availability but make no uptime guarantees. Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or due to third-party outages (Supabase, Apple, Anthropic).

11. Termination

You may delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms with reasonable notice unless immediate suspension is required (e.g., security threat).

12. Disclaimers and liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages. Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms. When we do, we update the «Last updated» date. Material changes will be announced in-app. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Russian Federation. Any disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of the Russian Federation, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction provide otherwise.
