Frequently asked
How do I invite my spouse?
Settings → Budgets → tap your budget → «Share Budget» → tap «Generate code». You get a 6-digit code valid for 24 hours. Your spouse signs up for FamOS, opens Settings → «Join Budget by Code», enters the code, and is added as a member.
How do I cancel my Premium subscription?
Open iOS Settings → tap your Apple ID at the top → Subscriptions → FamOS → Cancel Subscription. You'll keep Premium until the end of the current period.
Where are my receipts stored?
In Supabase Storage (Frankfurt, EU), encrypted at rest. Only members of the budget can see the receipt. Photos are linked to their transactions and visible in the transaction detail view.
Why does my tier show «Level 0»?
Tiers are calculated from your average income over the last 3 months. If you haven't added any income transactions yet, your tier is 0. Add a few income entries and refresh.
The AI categorization is wrong sometimes.
It's a suggestion, not a rule — you can always tap and choose a different category. The model improves over time as Anthropic updates their models. If you see a consistent pattern of wrong suggestions, let us know.
My receipt scan didn't detect the amount.
Try better lighting and a flatter angle. The scanner uses iOS Vision framework. It works best on clean receipts with high contrast text. If it still doesn't work, tap «Manual entry» — you can fill in the amount yourself and the photo is still saved.
How do I delete my account?
Settings → Profile → tap your name → «Delete Account». This permanently removes your profile and your part of shared budgets within 30 days.
Where can I export my data?
Email privacy@famos.tech with «Data Export» in the subject. We respond within 30 days with a JSON or CSV file of your data.

We genuinely read every email. Send to hello@famos.tech with a screenshot and a short description. Helpful: which iPhone model, iOS version, and what you were doing when it happened.
